Pizza Rolls

This is one of my families all time favorites.  Over time I have tweaked it a bit.  I used to use frozen bread dough (as stated in the recipe) but now I just use a basic white dough for my bread machine.  It takes an hour and a half to make the dough in the machine and then it is all ready to be rolled out and spread with the hamburger mixture.

Ingredients

1 loaf frozen bread dough
1 lbs ground beef, browned (I use diet lean)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. grated mozzarella cheese
1 tsp. italian seasoning
1 tsp. parsley flakes

Pizza or spaghetti sauce for dipping

Thaw dough (or use dough from bread machine); roll into a 14x24 rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.  Mix ground beef with all other ingredients, except sauce.  Spread hamburger mixture evenly onto dough.  Slightly press the mixture into the dough.

Roll it up lengthwise (like you would cinnamon rolls).  Cut into 1 inch slices.  Put each piece on a greased baking sheet.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Let rolls sit for 10 minutes.  Bake for 20 minutes.  Serve with pizza or spaghetti sauce.
