Frozen Peaches

This is something I learned from my Grandma Christensen.  My family would be lost with out them.  Every year, when peaches are in the height of their season, we buy boxes of them out in Caldwell.

Ingredients:

peaches
sugar
fruit fresh
quart size freezer bags (or whatever size you want to freeze yours in)

Directions:

Blanch peaches in hot water for about 30 seconds.  Remove them and immediately place them in ice cold water to stop them from cooking (I just fill my sink with water and add a pitcher of ice).  Slip the skins off of the peaches, remove the pit and slice them.  Mix 4 cups of sliced peaches with a 1/2 cup sugar and about 1 tsp fruit fresh.  Mix well and place in freezer bags.  I put about 3 cups per bag.  I stack all the bags in the freezer and then pull a bag out when we went them over "couch" (german pancakes), waffles, pancakes or in smoothies.  To thaw them quickly, place the bag in a bowl of hot water.
