Couch (aka German Pancake)

My children wouldn't even know what it meant if I told them we were going to have German Pancakes for breakfast.  The first time I made it when Mattie and Zac were very small, they said "it looks like a couch".  That has been its name ever since.  Their favorite way to eat them is with frozen peaches (something I learned from my Grandma). Some like the edges (Mattie and Paige).  Some like the center (Zac) and Summer doesn't care (big surprise).

 Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1 cup flour
6 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter

Preheat oven to 425.  Beat the eggs and add the milk, flour and salt.  Put the butter in a 9x13 dish and place in the oven to melt.   Once it is melted, pour the batter into hot dish and return to oven.  Bake for 20-25 minutes.  Serve with syrup, jam, powder sugar, fresh fruit, yogurt and/or our favorite...frozen peaches (that have been thawed).
