Blueberry Peach Salad


 Is this a side dish or dessert.  Claim it as a side dish and then you still get to have dessert.

1/2 cup sugar
3 Tlbs cornstarch
2 cups milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 peaches peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
whip cream

Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.  Stir in milk and bring to a boil.  Cook and stir for 2 minutes until thick.  Remove from the heat.  Pour a small amount into a bowl...and slowly beat in the eggs.  Add it back to the saucepan and return to heat.  Bring to boil for 2 more minutes.  Remove from heat and add vanilla.  Refrigerate until cooled.  Layer with fruit and top with whipped cream.
